Jill Hungerford  has been a working artist for over 25 years.  She expresses a strong sense of color and drama while blending design and imagination with technical ability.  Her diverse style and mastery over numerous mediums makes Jill’s work perfect for both individuals and commercial customers.

Jill’s strength lies in her ability to work with a client on a project and to come up with so much more, than what they had imagined or hoped for.  Clients are amazed and delighted at Jill’s ability to understand complex design perimeters,  and her mastery when given  free rein, to create truly unique and original paintings.  Projects that require ingenuity, challenging design specifications and beautiful, original artwork are specialties of Jill’s.

Jill creates paintings and murals using all mediums.  She also paints on silk, creating large format artwork and silk paintings, large format screens, and wearable art.  Her style and sense of color and design ignite Jill’s artwork with emotions and feelings and sensitivity to the beauty of the world around her.   As an artist working on a project, Jill strives to allow her feelings and intuition to influence the work as it progresses.  The final result is fresh, vital and original artwork.

Jill is also a cloisonne artist and silversmith.
She apprenticed for four years with master cloisonne jeweler, Audrey Don.  The enamel work trained and inspired Jill’s innate color and design sense, and was an intensive education in color and shading, that influences her paintings to this day.

Jill West Hungerford studied fine art at Ohio State University, Columbus College of Art and Design and at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
